Our Yacht Delivery Ethos:
Planning, Preparation, Execution, Post-care
Planning
Before our skippers arrive aboard we will send you a ‘tech checklist’ to ensure you have all the equipment necessary for the passage on board the vessel. This saves time for our skippers before their arrival aboard, and ensures the fastest delivery of your yacht. We will also send you a passage plan (subject to change at the skipper's decision), a weather brief, and a transparent and detailed budget for your yacht’s delivery.
Preparation
Upon arriving on board, our skippers will secure the boat, on deck & down below for offshore weather conditions. We will also do a thorough systems check including:
standing & running rigging,
engine check & servicing,
electronic systems: GPS, autopilot, instruments etc…
safety equipment checks,
tools & spare parts,
under the waterline: anodes, propellers, prop shafts, checking for cracks, condition of the hull,
Interior checks: bilges, refrigeration, water system, gas system, through-hulls
boat inventory,
Ensure boat papers are up to date and in order for clearing customs,
Before departure, a pre-delivery report complete with photographs/video will be sent to the owner including a double check of the original ‘tech checklist’.
Execution
We understand the importance of maintaining your yacht in pristine condition, and will always sail/motor conservatively to cause the least wear and tear on the boat as possible. Our skippers make navigational decisions based on years of experience and are trained in weather routing to avoid as best as possible inclement weather that could cause damage the boat. We provide a tracking service for you to follow your yacht’s progress throughout the passage, and our skippers carry Satellite phones in case of emergency.
After the Passage
When the delivery is completed, skippers will complete a full delivery report detailing the condition of the yacht, including the log of the voyage. If there are any repairs to be done these will be prioritized in the report. We will deep clean your yacht upon arrival so that it is ready to be sailed when you arrive. Our skippers will ensure that all formal entry clearance requirements are respected and boat paperwork is up to date. The goal is for the owner to step aboard and be ready to sail away! Finally, we will provide you with a ‘check out list’ to be completed by the skipper and signed off by the owner to make sure each owner is satisfied with the delivery.
